The University of Minnesota is one of the largest, most complex research universities in the country. It also has numerous programs and collaborations with institutions around the world. Its legal needs are highly varied and specialized. The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) exists to meet those needs. This website provides an introduction to the legal services the OGC provides, and helps you determine whether you should contact one of the OGC attorneys.

The OGC is also responsible for the supervision of Athletic Compliance, Data Access & Privacy, and University Clery Compliance offices, which maintain their own websites.
